One of the most densely populated areas of Cornwall, left impoverished by the closure of the tin mines in the late 20th Century, will this week take the next step towards regeneration with the help of a new heart. Heartlands, an inspirational new free visitor attraction and World Heritage Site gateway set within the Camborne, Pool and Redruth (CPR) area of West Cornwall will open to the world on Friday 20 April with a three-day launch party.

With just few days to go until the opening of Heartlands (20 April 2012), the new 19 acre free visitor attraction and World Heritage Site Gateway in the former mining heart of Cornwall, local bakers have shown their support with a different take on a traditional Cornish dish. Berrymans bakery, based in Redruth has created limited edition batches of heart-shaped pasties to welcome Heartlands to the community.
