The Grand Heartlands Bake Off

Head Chef of the Red River Café, Tim Treseder is preparing for a kitchen takeover as the 30-strong Heartlands Team roll up their sleeves to raise money for the attraction’s first Macmillan Big Coffee Morning on Wednesday 26 September.

From Chief Executive to Caretaker, Shop Assistant to Education Officer, the team includes some very talented bakers and all the visitors will need to do is taste test the results.

The Big Coffee Morning will take place between 10.30am and 12noon in the popular Red River Café within the old Carpenter’s Workshop at this former mine at Robinson’s Shaft in Pool, and all money from cake sales will be given to the Macmillan Cancer Trust.

Kate Turnbull, Marketing Manager at Heartlands said:
“Many members of the Heartlands’ team have had loved ones affected by cancer and so were very keen to make their own contribution to the Macmillan Big Coffee Morning event. With a plethora of passionate bakers in our midst, there should be something for everyone in our first ever team cake sale.”

The Heartlands Big Macmillan Coffee Morning is on Wednesday 26 September 2012 from 10.30am – 12noon.  No need to book, just turn up on the morning and support this important cause. All proceeds from the Heartlands’ Team Cake Sale will go to Macmillan Cancer Trust along with 10% of the takings from the Red River Café on the morning.
