Yoga at Heartlands

Join DebiYoga every Monday (excluding half terms) at Heartlands for some yoga and relaxation, involving teaching 2 classes back to back, you can join both or just pop along to one.

Hatha Beginners Yoga 6-7pm

You will begin to learn the fundamentals of yoga through exploring a series of sequences each week and teach you: Posture alignment, modifications and variations of postures suited to your body, Breath and movement coordination and Strength building   This course is suitable for complete beginners with no previous experience or knowledge of yoga needed - just the curiosity to learn is all it takes.

Yin restorative & relaxation with deep releasing 7-8pm

Yin yoga is based on the Taoist concept of yin and yang, opposite and complementary principles in nature. Yin is the stable, unmoving, hidden aspect of things; yang is the changing, moving, revealing aspect. In the body, the relatively stiff connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, fascia) are yin, while the more mobile and pliable muscles and blood are yang.

A Yin yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body - the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer.

Who is Yin yoga for?
Yin yoga is for you if you are tired and craving energy or you’re over-stimulated and have too much energy; if your mind is overactive or your energy levels erratic.

About your Teacher
Debi recently attained her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training qualification at 'The Cornwall Yoga Centre' in Truro.  After 2 years of home practice her enthusiasm for Yoga and for teaching gave her the opportunity to combine both passions together.  With a Holistic Healing background, Debi likes to bring a therapeutic and knowledgeable approach to her classes making it inviting and accessible for Everyone.

£8 a class or £35 for a 5 Class pass

Free parking available on the road or car park (there is a charge for the car park)

Time:
6-7pm & 7-8pm - please arrive 5 minutes early to allow for parking e.t.c

What you need to bring:
*Yoga mat
*Any props, blocks or blankets you have
*Water
*Wear loose comfortable clothing
