Wheal Play & Family Activities

Wheal Play is a bright and colourful soft play centre, with a cheery team dedicated to providing you with a fantastic experience.

Opening hours: Monday to Sunday.

Play sessions are 9-11am, 11.30–1.30pm and 2–4pm

We provide a safe place for your children to play, giving you time to relax. We’re open all year round. Come and play!

Heartlands, was born out of the former mining complex at Robinson’s Shaft in the village of Pool, part of the mining heart of Cornwall.

Open Monday to Sunday 10–4pm

The Camborne and Redruth area that surrounds Heartlands was designated World Heritage Site status in 2006 by UNESCO as part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape.

Nestled in the heart of Cornwall, at Heartlands (a Cornish heritage and cultural attraction), Magnetic Earth Studio is little gem of a shop.

2020 saw a dramatic change in our everyday shopping habits. Many small businesses have been forced to grow and evolve with the changing times.

Therefore, Magnetic Earth Studio decided to start offering its customers an online shopping experience.

Jacky, owner of Magnetic Earth Studio, has always loved and enjoyed the face-to-face contact that she has with her customers.

Jacky has developed a excellent reputation over the years . She hopes that she can carry over a personal touch to her online shop at Magnetic Earth Studio.

xGUNPOWDER GATEWAYHeartlands is a FREE visitor attraction and World Heritage Site Gateway in Cornwall. Nestled just off the A30 in Pool, near Redruth in the former mining heart of Cornwall, there are 19 acres of eclectic fun to explore.
RED RIVER CAFÉBased in the Old Carpenters Workshop, with a beautiful wooden beam celling and original features, the Red River Café is the perfect place to grab a coffee, or enjoy a delicious lunch. We serve uncomplicated, but imaginative food, working with fresh local produce where possible and endeavour to cater for all dietary requirements
